Message From the Hon. Commissioner

Welcome to the Edo State Ministry of Education Learning Management System. This platform is not just a website. It is a commitment. For many years, professional development for teachers depended largely on periodic workshops—often requiring travel, limited time, and constrained opportunities for follow-up learning. This platform transforms that experience. Whether you are in Benin City or in the most remote part of Edo State, you can now access courses on your device, learn at your own pace, and earn certificates formally recognised by the Ministry. Even where internet connectivity is unstable, resources can be downloaded for offline use—removing barriers and expanding access to continuous learning. The Learning Management System is designed to extend learning beyond physical training sessions. It serves as a direct communication channel between the Ministry and every educator, a resource hub for students, and a unifying digital framework that aligns the work of SUBEB, SSEB, DEQA, and BTVET under one coordinated platform. This initiative reflects the broader commitment of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo to strengthen education through innovation, digital transformation, and sustained investment in teacher quality and student outcomes. The administration’s focus on modern infrastructure, data-driven decision-making, and professional capacity building is what makes a platform like this possible. I encourage all educators and stakeholders to register, explore the platform, and participate actively. Edo State’s education sector is advancing with purpose, and this LMS is your gateway to being part of that progress.

Message From the Permanent Secretary

Strong institutions are built from the inside. This platform is how we build Edo State's education from the inside, together. As Permanent Secretary, my role is to ensure that the Honourable Commissioner’s vision is supported by the systems and standards needed to bring it to life. The Learning Management System (LMS) is one of our key tools for achieving this. Every course on this platform has been carefully reviewed to meet the Ministry’s quality standards, with all boards involved to ensure the content is accurate, relevant, and useful. That level of quality reflects our strong institutional commitment to improving education. To every teacher, school leader, and education officer: using this platform is both an opportunity and a responsibility. The Ministry tracks progress across schools and LGAs so we can provide support where needed and recognise excellence where it exists.
